Major advances in wound approximation and techniques used to stabilize a wound have been made in recent years. This course will review the current strategies employed and instruments utilized during routine soft tissue surgery.
The objective of this small group hands-on course is to review current suturing techniques used during implant surgery. Using a variety of practical exercises, this course will explore the differences between a macrosurgical vs microsurgical approach as well as different suture types.
Course attendees are to bring with them their usual armamentarium used when suturing a wound. This should include typical sutures, needle driver, tissue forcep, scissors and loupes or other magnification.
