Immediate post extraction molar implants have been in use for over a decade. With a good diagnosis, and good clinical criterion the procedure is very predictable with success rates similar to immediate implants at other sites. The Southern Keystone implant has solved many anatomical problems with immediate molar implant surgery and subsequent restoration. The procedure saves patients an extra 4-5 months of healing and provides a far superior emergence profile and allows for platform switching. Rational and surgical management of these cases will be discussed.
