In recent years, the better understanding of biological factors has allowed for significantly improved and predictable outcomes. The benefits of successful immediate implant placement include less chair time for the patient, avoiding a second surgery that may require opening a flap and possible tissue grafting, and an overall faster treatment time. This course will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of immediate implant placement, treatment planning for incisors, canines, premolars and molars, grafting and temporization.
