Want to start incorporating dental implants in to your practice? This comprehensive 3 weekend implant course will give participants the background knowledge and clinical skill for the prosthetic phases of implant treatment. Participants will be able to see the different perspectives from periodontology, oral surgery, and prosthodontics. This program satisfies the RCDSO hands on and didactic requirements for the prosthetic phase of implant treatment.

Dr. Izchak Barzilay received his DDS from the University of Toronto in 1983, a Certificate in Prosthodontics from the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY in 1986, and a MS from the University of Rochester in 1991. He is currently Head of the Division of Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Mt. Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Ont.; Adjunct Professor, Division of Prosthodontics of the Eastman Department of Dentistry, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY; Professor, George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology, Toronto, ON; Associate in Dentistry, University of Toronto, Toronto, Ont.; Chief Examiner in Prosthodontics – Royal College of Dentists of Canada; Past - President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada: Past President - Ontario Study Club for Osseointegration.; Advisory Board - International Society for Digital Dentistry; Medical Advisory Board Member – Sjogren’s Society of Canada; Publication reviewer for Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and is in private practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Toronto, Ont. He has published on various topics including immediate implants, bonding plastics to various metals and other material and implant related topics. Dr. Barzilay hold many fellowships in prestigious organizations and has been awarded multiple awards for his research and teaching accomplishments.
Dr. Habsha received her Bachelor of Science degree and earned her DDS degree from the University of Toronto. Upon graduation, she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, ON. Dr. Habsha received her Diploma in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree, both from the University of Toronto. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and is an examiner in Prosthodontics for the RCDC. Dr. Habsha is also a Fellow of The Pierre Fauchard Academy and Academy of Dentistry International. She is a member of The Association of Prosthodontist of Canada, The Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, The Ontario Dental Association, the American Prosthodontic Society, the Canadian Dental Association and the American Prosthodontic Society.
Dr. Habsha’s work in Prosthodontics extends beyond her private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Toronto. Dr. Habsha has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She instructs both at the undergraduate and graduate level in Prosthodontics at U of T. Dr. Habsha is a Staff Prosthodontist at Mount Sinai Hospital where she teaches the dental residents. She is a Professor at George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology and is the On-staff Prosthodontist at MedCan clinic in Toronto. Dr. Habsha has been awarded the Harold Keith Box Prize and received the A.A.P. Senior Student Award. She has published numerous articles on topics including tooth wear, dental implants, porcelain veneers, partial denture attachments, and other prosthodontic related topics. Dr. Habsha lectures and provides continuing education programs regionally and nationally on various topics related to Prosthodontics.
Dr. Baig received his dental degree from H.K.E.S Dental College, Gulbarga University, India in 1997. He has completed his residency at Government Dental College and Hospital in Hyderabad India, after working for seven years in India as a general dentist he decided to move to Canada for a higher education. Dr. Baig worked at Prosthodontic Associates, Toronto, Canada for 3 years as an Implant education coordinator.
Dr. Baig completed Advance Education in General Dentistry program and Graduate program in Prosthodontics at Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester New York state USA. Dr. Baig is a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Rochester in the Department of Advance Education in General Dentistry at Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester, USA. He also works as a Clinical Instructor in Prosthodontics in the Department of Periodontics at University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, Staff Prosthodontist at Mt Sinai Hospital. Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Baig is a board certified Prosthodontist in Canada and has a special interest in aesthetics and implant dentistry, CT guided Implant surgeries, Dental Ceramics and smile makeover procedures. Dr. Baig lectures to dental study clubs and professional organizations across North America and Southeast Asia. Dr. Baig is a fellow of Royal college of Dentists of Canada, member of Ontario Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Prosthodontic Society, New York State Dental Association, Seventh District Dental Society.
Dr. Ryan Schure earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. During his training, he participated in externships at both the University of Michigan and the Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, and was the recipient of numerous awards for clinical and academic achievements. He went on to complete his Master of Science degree with advanced training in periodontology and implant surgery at the University of Toronto. His research on the relationships between cardiovascular diseases and periodontal diseases has been published and presented at international meetings.
As a board-certified periodontist in Canada, Dr. Schure's scope of practice includes the non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal diseases, periodontal tissue regeneration and periodontal soft tissue grafting. He also has extensive training in the surgical placement of dental implants, hard tissue grafting (including guided bone regeneration and maxillary sinus augmentation) and soft tissue grafting to enhance the esthetics of dental implants. Dr. Schure believes in prevention first and foremost. He strives to provide his patients with the best treatment options available focusing on what is necessary for their long term oral health.
Dr. Schure is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Society of Periodontists, American Academy of Periodontology, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He continues to maintain strong affiliation to the University of Toronto as an Associate in Dentistry, where he contributes to the clinical and didactic training of undergraduate and graduate dental students. He is also involved as a lecturer with the department of continuing dental education and as a member of the undergraduate admissions committee.
Dr. Mo Taheri studied extensively in Toronto and Boston, acheiving his B.S in Human Biology at the University or Toronto in 2001. He received his DMD at Tufts University in Boston in 2005 and immediately following that he spent a year in a General Practice Residency in Newark, NJ. After practicing for 2 years, Dr. Tahero decided to return to Tufts to pursue his specialty training in Prosthodontics. He became board certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics in 2011. Dr. Taheri moved back to the Toronto area in 2015 and acheived fellowship with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in 2016.
Immediately upon finishing his Prosthodontic training, Dr. Taheri was invited to be a clinical instructor at Tufts University in the division of Graduate and Post-graduate Prosthodontics. During his time there, he developed a didactic course on Occlusion, as well as assisting the department with board preparation. He was involved with the Massachusetts Dental Society in an effort to develop a new district in Boston. Dr. Taheri is a fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics, and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists in Canada. As of 2017, Dr. Taheri is an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in the specialty of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Taheri has lectured nationally on topics including treatment planning, occlusion, esthetic and implant dentistry. He has been invited to participate in dental podcasts as well as contributing to the education of general dentists.
