Dr. Habsha received her Bachelor of Science degree and earned her DDS degree from the University of Toronto.  Upon graduation, she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, ON.  Dr. Habsha received her Diploma in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree, both from the University of Toronto.  She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and is an examiner in Prosthodontics for the RCDC.  Dr. Habsha is also a Fellow of The Pierre Fauchard Academy and Academy of Dentistry International.  She is a member of The Association of Prosthodontist of Canada, The Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, The Ontario Dental Association, the American Prosthodontic Society, the Canadian Dental Association and the American Prosthodontic Society.



 

Dr. Habsha’s work in Prosthodontics extends beyond her private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Toronto.  Dr. Habsha has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto.  She instructs both at the undergraduate and graduate level in Prosthodontics at U of T.  Dr. Habsha is a Staff Prosthodontist at Mount Sinai Hospital where she teaches the dental residents.  She is a Professor at George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology and is the On-staff Prosthodontist at MedCan clinic in Toronto. Dr. Habsha has been awarded the Harold Keith Box Prize and received the A.A.P. Senior Student Award.  She has published numerous articles on topics including tooth wear, dental implants, porcelain veneers, partial denture attachments, and other prosthodontic related topics.  Dr. Habsha lectures and provides continuing education programs regionally and nationally on various topics related to Prosthodontics.

Dr. Petrikowski graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta in 1985.  After completing a one-year dental internship at the University of Alberta Hospital, she entered the Oral Radiology graduate program at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto.  She completed her Diploma in Oral Radiology in 1988 and commenced a faculty teaching position at the University of Alberta.  She completed a Master of Science degree in 1991 through the Department of Applied Sciences in Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta.  Dr. Petrikowski remained in Alberta until 1996, when she was offered a teaching position as an Associate Professor with tenure in the Discipline of Oral Radiology at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto.  Dr. Petrikowski’s activities included teaching undergraduate and graduate students, as well as research and private practice.  Dr. Petrikowski has published a number of peer-reviewed scientific articles in oral and maxillofacial radiology and has contributed chapters to several radiology textbooks.  She has lectured locally, nationally and internationally on a variety of oral radiology topics.  Dr. Petrikowski remained at the University of Toronto until 2006, at which time she entered full-time private practice.

 

Dr. Petrikowski is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and is an examiner in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology for the RCDC.  She is also a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Canadian Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, International Association of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology and the Ontario Dental Association.  She was also elected as Honorary Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy for outstanding service to the dental profession.

 

Aside from her work in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Dr. Petrikowski is a harpist and an accomplished pianist.  She keeps a harp in her private office and has been known to occasionally play for staff and patients.

 


Dr. Mary Dabuleanu received her DDS from the University of Toronto in 2002 and her Master of Science degree and certificate in Endodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, Michigan in 2007. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada FRCD(C) and is on the education core committee of the ODA. Dr. Mary Dabuleanu practices in North York and is a part-time clinical demonstrator at the University of Toronto.

Oral Pathology & Oral Medicine

 

Dr. Iona Leong is an oral pathologist and assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. In addition to undergraduate and graduate teaching, she maintains a private practice limited to clinical oral pathology and oral medicine in the Department of Dentistry, Mount Sinai Hospital, where she is head of the Division of Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine. She is also an associate staff pathologist in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Mount Sinai Hospital and the Department of Pathobiology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Toronto.
