Dr. Geoffery Anguyo is the founding member and the Executive Director of KIHEFO, and has worked tirelessly for continued development of rural regions of Uganda. Dr. Anguyo is committed to his mission of fighting the cycle of disease, ignorance, and poverty in southwest Uganda while promoting economic development through an integrated and sustainable approach.
KIHEFO distinguishes itself from other organizations through its unique community approach. The team travels to nearby villages bringing services to community groups that would otherwise be neglected. These outreaches allow KIHEFO to work with needy communities, schools, and people living with HIV/AIDs. Projects are inspired by the needs of the nearby communities, ensuring community support and effectiveness.
In collaboration with KIHEFO, Bridge to Health – Medical and Dental provides medical and dental care, aims to improve healthcare delivery systems, train local healthcare workers and educate the residents of these communities. Founded in Toronto, Bridge to Health Medical and Dental is comprised of a passionate group of medical and dental professionals brought together by a common desire to help provide healthcare to those in tremendous need. PA has been closely involved in different aspects of this initiative and we are happy to share our successes with you.
During this lecture, Dr. Geoffrey Anguyo will be discussing the living conditions in Uganda, and the vision he has for the future of his country. Dr. Anguyo will also be speaking about the connection that Canada has to KIHEFO, specifically with respects Bridge to Health.
