  3. The effect of COVID on your transition out of practice.

B.A.(Hons), J.D.

Mariana Bracic began her legal career in 1994 at a prominent Bay Street law firm advising clients on employment law issues. Six years later, she became Advisory Counsel with the Law Society of Upper Canada, the regulator of all the lawyers in the province. As Advisory Counsel, she was responsible for ensuring the highest standards for Ontario lawyers in ethics and competence.

In 2003, Ms. Bracic opened MBC Legal, which grew to become Canada’s HR law firm for doctors. Following enormous client demand, Ms. Bracic launched MBC Brokerage in 2016 to assist doctors with all their appraisal and practice sale needs.

Ms. Bracic’s extra-curricular interests include a commitment to early childhood literacy. She taught her twins to read by the time they were twelve months old and they have been featured on the front page of the National Post, on City TV, CBC Radio and other media. Ms. Bracic is writing a book on how to teach babies to read. In her spare time, she also enjoys running, having recently completed the Toronto Marathon.

She may be reached by telephone at 905-825-2268 or by email at and she would love to hear from you.

Dirk de Lint joined MBC's A-list team in 2010. He was called to the bar in 1996 and began his law career at a top-tier Bay Street law firm. He then joined a prominent government regulator where he was highly regarded as a national authority for 13 years, and rose to the rank of Senior Legal Counsel. His exceptional legal experience (including a mastery of "plain language drafting", successfully liaising with government, and effective diplomacy) are invaluable contributions in MBC's relentless work to advance its employer-doctors' legal interests to the absolutely maximum extent possible.

In his spare time, Mr. de Lint enjoys martial arts, Shakespeare and playing chess.

He may be reached by telephone at 905-825-2268 or by email at and he would love to hear from you.
